About Happy

Meet Happy! If she looks familiar that's because she was adopted last week by one of our prior adopters. Well, she's back! Her adopter discovered that Happy can climb like a cat!!! She tried everything she could to keep this little dog safe in the yard, but it did not work! We now know that Happy cannot be in a home with a chain link fence or anything less than a 6 foot secure, privacy fenced yard. Happy is a beautiful 9-month-old, 7.12 pound Pom-Chi. She is pure sweetness with quirky playfulness mixed in! Happy came from a place with a lot of dogs and still needs some work on her socialization, but she is joyfully learning how to be a dog! Once she knows you she is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. She will sit on your lap and lie with her head on your knee. She would be ok as an only dog as long as she got a lot of time and attention and exercise, but it would be better if there was another dog in her home that she could learn from and play with. She was fine with the calm cat at her adopters home, but she did want to chase and play. She has not been kid tested but would probably be ok with older children. Happy is figuring out how to walk on a leash and her foster family is working with her on potty training. She is energetic and athletic and, when left alone, she is able and willing to jump over a high baby gate. Happy is a great dog for the right person who has the patience to work with her. She will be a wonderful companion! Happy is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration.
