About Gracie

Meet Gracie! Are you looking for a fluffy, happy, and gentle canine companion? If so, look no further than this 75-pond, 10-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix. She's not getting older, she's getting better! She's also ready to go, being spayed, housetrained, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines. Gracie loves to go for walks, staying right by your side, and is generally happy to do almost whatever her people want to do. However, she's decided swimming is not for her, and is actually afraid of water. Gracie does have a little playful side, enjoying tug ropes, balls and stuffed toys. Staff and volunteers have fallen in love with her and you will too! Gracie is startled by loud noises, so she would do best in a low foot/dog-traffic area/home environment. A family who is home often would also be ideal, as her favorite thing is spending time with people. She needs to be the only pet in the home and children should be 14 or older. Sweet Gracie has more than enough love to share with all of her future family members. She is an easy-to-please dog with a gentle, loving temperament. She brings new meaning to the phrase 'golden girl.' I also had a 15 year old who was sadly also leaving us very soon. I received a call from K-9 Connection, a rescue in Southern CA, and was told they had 2 dogs available. I filled out an application, and then received videos and pictures of both dogs. One was in a foster home and not readily available and I could only take one at the time anyway. So I took Ellie and couldn't be more pleased. She is the most wonderful dog. Smart, sassy and a velcro dog, even more so than most golden retrievers. She has turned into a real princess with my help in just a little over 3 months. She is just what we needed to get us through the heartbreak of losing 2 beloved dogs within a month. I can't thank K-9 Connection enough for allowing me to adopt this wonderful little girl. READ MORE John & Bandit We had been looking on Petfinder for a few weeks and then Bandit showed up. Quite the handsome dog so we reached out. This was before the pandemic became known for its ferocity, so we continued to work with Freedom Bridge Rescue in Kingsland GA to see if Bandit could possibly become part of our family. And then he did in mid-March. And it turns out that he's an amazing dog. He's still a puppy and quite energetic so social distancing has been a pain in the butt! We are so happy to have found Bandit. He's already got 15 followers on Instagram ('KillerBandit', because he's a serial dog toy killer and no other names we're available). He's brightened up my life in so many ways. I get 5,000 steps everyday when he walks me all over the neighborhood and he gets compliments every day on how handsome he is. It's been pretty special especially during trying times. Axel is still getting used to our family. He will be sweet and then when daughter walks in stockings feet, he attacks her socks. We are going to be going to obedience school soon to learn how to be nice to others.
