About

Adoption Fee: $75
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Amanda Allspice is a beautiful charcoal and silver spotted short hair female approx. 1.5 yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted, vaccinated, spayed and tested negative for FIV - Leuk. She is good with other nice cats and really needs a playful kitty friend. Older kids ok. Dogs? She was tossed out like trash unfixed, in downtown Phoenix. Of course she gets pregnant and was found with her litter of newborn kittens. All have been rescued, fixed and kittens adopted. Its momma's turn now. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! She is going to be cautious at first but once settled in she will be an awesome companion. The meet and greets are done in an environment that she has never been in that also has lots of animal smells. Please be patient with her as she will probably hide or she may hiss during the meet and greet or during her adjustment period. Hissing is just a coping mechanism when a cat gets stressed. Don't take it personal. Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed. This is why we give a 2 week money back trial period. You cannot force her, that will scare her. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period. After she has adjusted, she will be very fun and playful. She has lots of energy and loves to jump and run. She is also a lap cat and enjoys being loved. When she is ready to hang out she will come up and start to rub on you and jump in your lap ready for petting. Then she starts her purr motor! She has a playmate in her rescue foster home that will also be up for adoption soon if you are looking for two. Her favorite toys are mice toys which she loves to flip up in the air or carry around. She loves to bat around the spiral springy toy on the floor and run through the cat tunnel. She She also loves interactive toys like feather on a stick, shoe lace drag and laser lite as well as the Fling ama String. She absolutely loves the $2 'cat dancer' toy. She loves her kitty treats and a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor. She loves to catnap in a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. She will expect to share your bed. She has been free fed Costco quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and gets up to a half can of Friskies pate morning and night. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Amanda Allspice FOR LIFE!
