Please be patient with her as she will probably hide or she may hiss during the meet and greet or during her adjustment period. Hissing is just a coping mechanism when a cat gets stressed. Don't take it personal. Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed. She She also loves interactive toys like feather on a stick, shoe lace drag and laser lite as well as the Fling ama String. She absolutely loves the $2 'cat dancer' toy. She loves her kitty treats and a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor. She loves to catnap in a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. She will expect to share your bed. She has been free fed Costco quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and gets up to a half can of Friskies pate morning and night. Below information is for preventative purposes�'�| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids.
