About Patches

Adoption Fee: $75.00
Catahoula
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

We are in desperate need of help. We rescued then adopted a beautiful full blooded female catahoula (Patches) She is very smart, friendly, loves our grandchildren and even gets along great with our cats. But we have 4 other dogs - our male dog, a Bassett hound mix (Zeke) is 10 months old, they get along fair but she has attacked him for no apparent reason except possibly jealousy; then we have a 9 m.o. female boxer/pit mix(Ladybug)- this is our problem, the catahoula attacks her frequently and without cause to the point that she has taken to climbing our fence to get away, she is now very cowered down and will not stay anywhere close to the catahoula for the most part, although they do run/play at times without problems; we also have a 4 yo Shorkie (Winnie) - she has attacked her from what appears to be jealousy; and lastly we have a 7yo very small teacup Yorkie (Gracie) she has attacked this one once but Gracie hates her so bad that anytime she comes around Gracie, Gracie attacks her and now Patches is actually scared of Gracie. We would love to keep Patches and have never had to give up a dog before but we're not sure what to do. Will obedience classes help with this. From what I can read, these dogs are sometimes best being the only dog. We really love her and don't want to lose her but I will not have her treating Ladybug the way she does and I'm afraid that she may get tired of Gracie biting and snapping at her and turn on Gracie (who by the way has only three legs). Please give me some advice or let me know how I can place Patches with a good rescue group. If something can't be done soon. we will have to take her in to the pound and that would be heartbreaking.
