About Stevie

Please visit our Rescue's website to submit an adoption application. Once approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled. If this is still here, then Stevie is still available! Stevie is a 2 year old male Chihuahua mix that was surrendered as a stray. He walked right into our vet clinic and made friends with the staff, and we agreed to help. After a fruitless owner search, we are placing him up for adoption. 'Scuba Steve' is a small dog, but packed with personality! He is active and enjoys playing, wrestling with the bigger dogs, or following everyone around in his foster home. He doesn't enjoy other dogs being too aggressive with their play, but does great with dogs that are respectful of boundaries. He loves his 50lb foster sister! He has also fallen in love with cats. :) does well with children 8+ years old. He doesn't like being crated, so I let him sunbathe outside or in the house if I am stepping out. He does have a bit of separation anxiety, and doesn't like doors being shut between him and his family. But we are curbing it and will continue to do so until adoption. A new family that is home often is just what this guy needs! Stevie is nearly completely housebroken, and will sleep on the bed until he gets let outside at 6am with no issues! He learns quickly, and is such a goober! He loves to dance for attention, he likes to vocalize and have a conversation, and he is just a good little boy.
