UPDATE: Ralphie will complete his advanced on and off-leash training with Appalachian Dog Training 11/25/20 and will be ready to go to his new home! He's 45 lbs. of pure joy and all puppy. He loves squeaky toys, blankies, playing ball, zoomies and training. This 10-month old boy has only been with Almost Home Dog Rescue NC a few weeks but has proven himself to be quite a smarty britches. What has he learned in this short time you might ask? - Sit - Down - Place - Roll over - Come - Watch - Wait - Leash Walks - Stay (work in progress) And of course, 'Uh Uh, little mister!!!' ? Beyond his smarts he's quite a looker to boot. His rust and white coat couldn't be softer. His nose? So unique. Mottled pink, white and black. And his eyes.. just mesmerizing. According to our breed identifier app, Ralphie is a mix of Boxer, Catahoula Leopard Dog, American Bulldog and Great Dane. Whatever his genetic makeup, one thing is for sure. He's a cutie patootie and will turn heads wherever you go! Ralphie likes to play with other dogs but gets overly excited so needs someone to show him the ropes. He is looking for a calm home (preferably as the only dog) with someone experienced in dog handling willing to continue his training in the home and on all adventures. No small children as Ralphie doesn't recognize his size and can be a bit exuberant. Ralphie walks beautifully on leash and has had off-leash training. When off leash outdoors, he's high energy so would love a yard to play in. When indoors and crated, he settles right down and can entertain himself with his toys. He's crate trained, quiet (mostly) and takes treats from your hand gently. Ralphie is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He's so ready to go to his new home. Want to see him in action?
