About Mel

Mel is a 18 month old cattle dog. He has to have room to run, a small backyard will not do. This is the reason he is being rehomed. This is what's best for him. He is very high energy, loves to play with the hose. Potty trained, he does sleep in a kennel at night but he wont go in unless guided. He is good mostly with kids but I would suggest older kids 10+ because he gets super excited and can knock you over. He loves to play with his bowl! He is a great dog and I am sad to have to do this but it is what is best for him. He would be great on a farm doing what he is meant to do...heard cattle. He is up to date on all shots and is micro chipped. He is not a fan of the groomer so giving him a bath is a struggle. We do have another elderly female dog that he gets along with but that is the only experience he has with other animals so I do not know how he would react to other dogs.
