Piper adores people, and unlike many German Shepherds she does not confine her affection to just one family member. Piper is the most joyful dog you'll meet. She is just as happy to chill at your feet as she is to chase a toy for a few minutes. Piper likes children and would do fine in a home with them, but she has a very high prey drive so smaller animals should be protected. Other dogs are out of the question, she doesn't like them. Piper is leash trained and 100% housebroken. She has her basic commands, though her recall is a little fuzzy when she wants to chase something. She can be left alone while you go to work (someone has to keep her in kibble after all!) and your home will look exactly the way you left it when you return. She does not require crating. She will occasionally go and grab a shoe while you are gone, but she doesn't damage it, she just wants it near her. Fireworks and thunderstorms are no problem, she is brave and confident. Visitors? Oh boy, her favorite! Your friends can come through any door or gate and she will greet them with a wagging tail and kisses on the hand. She minds her manners around your food and does not beg. She tends not to go on furniture unless she is invited, Sunday morning snuggles in her foster home are a weekly favorite for all. Once you meet this little girl you will fall in love with her, and she with you. Piper wants a family of her own that she can bond with and love forever.
