About Sasha

Sasha is a Great Pyrenees mix who is about 5 1/2 years old. She was an owner surrender at another shelter and then transferred to us. Her owner says she was food aggressive and doesn't like to have her backside or tail handled (says she was like that since pup). She isn't an overly social gal - prefers a little attention and then let her do her own thing. She has lived with a small dog but mostly jut ignored it. Her foster home says she does very well on car rides and is very curious about everything around her. Her foster home says she does well on a leash and is very sweet. It does appear she is housebroken. She does need some attention paid to her coat. Because of her apparent food possessiveness we will not adopt her into a home with small children. She would be a perfect companion for a retired or semi-retired couple who like to walk and don't want to go through the puppy stage. She is a good sized girl at 80 lbs. That includes spay, current shots, worming, heartworm negative, current on preventatives and micro-chip.
