About Lola

Lola was rescued off the streets of Bosnia in March, 2016 and had been living in Virginia since being rescued by our organization in September 2016. Due to unexpected changes in her previous owners' health and living situation, Lola was relinquished back to our organization. Lola is a sweet goofball who enjoys cuddling on the couch. She is very affectionate and wants all of your attention. She gets along with most other dogs after being properly introduced and integrated over the corse of several days and/or weeks. She is a German Shepherd mix, but secondary breed is unknown. Lola will be 5 years old in March 2021. Due to Lola's strength and size it is recommended her house have a strong pack leader. She is approximately 90 lbs., 26 inches tall & 28 inches long. She thinks she is smaller than she actually is which leads to some clumsiness throughout the house! Due to her size, her new home should have a lot of space, both inside and outside. Lola has not been cat tested. Her previous home did include other dogs, and while she does not show aggression, she does have some resource guarding tendencies with food. When it comes to food and affection Lola tends to show alfa tendencies such as jealousy towards female dogs. May be best suited for a single dog home.
