About Lobo

Adoption Fee: $495
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Currently in foster in Puyallup, Washington. Lobo was a drop-off out in the country. Heaven only knows why. He is a Lab mix (about 60#s) and very friendly and a bit rambunctious. Judging an energy level from 1-10 (1 is the old Hound Dog; 10 is the Jack Russell that is like the Energy Bunny)... he is about a 7-8. I believe with exercise and training, he will settle down... most of the time. He has not had any training but he's very happy. We think he is about 4 yrs old. He was very skinny but is doing fabulous. He is a higher energy dog and you would think he was 1 not about four! lol Children: Lobo is great with children but because of his high energy level, I wouldn't have him around young children. They need to be at least 12 or older. He will be a good partner for hiking, swimming, bicycling ...(you, not him), etc. Cats: He does chase cats. Must be in a cat-less house or at least keep them totally separate. Heartworm Tested: He is HEART WORM NEG. House Training: We believe he has been an outside dog most of his life. Along with the behavior training, potty training should be easy because he's never known he could do his business in the house. It's just a matter of bonding and communicating. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, transport with one of our professional dog transporters, and 6 mos of heartworm prevention.. If you have any questions, text me... 210-394-6060. Lobo is available for pre-adoption. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the on-line application. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. We try to make it as easy as possible for you but if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that, too. SHANYE'S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues and assist them in adopting/rehoming of their pups/dogs by listing on this site. Many dogs posted here are available to pre adopt NOW directly from the rescue. The only ones in foster in the NW specifically state that. We have very few fosters so most need to be pre adopted. All adoption fees go towards rescuing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transport from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include a negative heartworm test for any dogs over 6 months. Some dogs have additional medical, such as FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. We do full disclosure of medical care/situations. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers who donate our time and resources to help save as many dogs/pups lives as we possibly can. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Over 1 billion dogs worldwide are put to sleep (PTS) annually... thousands daily. The dog pounds PTS entire litters, pregnant/nursing moms and wonderful dogs that can make someone a great companion. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than 'rescue' for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
