About Fergie

Meet Fergie, what she would like more than anything is a place to run and someone to love her unconditionally. We have owned her for 6 years, but had 2 rescue dogs already and the other dogs have dominance which doesn't allow her to be herself. We rescued her from her previous owner who was abusive when she was not a good hunting dog, she would rather play than hunt. We were told she is a pure-bred Walker Running hound, however we do not have any papers. She will need to be indoors and loves to cuddle. The fenced in yard we have is not enough for her. She jumps the fence to run and explore and our neighbors are not happy with her visits. We have tried shock collars and discipline, but it's clear that she wants to run and have more space. She needs an owner with a place to run and someone with patience as she earns trust in them. She is shy until she gets to know someone and is a sweetheart that deserves to be in a place where she can feel the love and be herself without competing with other dogs and confinement. She is spayed and chipped, and current on rabies vaccination. Loves car rides and going for walks.
