About CHASE

Chase is a returning alumni to ASAR Rescue. He recently suffered the trauma of losing his dog dad unexpectedly then began regressing in his behavioral issues until we got him back 2 months later. Chase was professionally trained by us and our behaviorist. Upon return he passed his behavioral evaluation with FLYING COLORS with our behaviorist!! We knew he was solid but wanted to get him assessed after the trauma he recently suffered. Chase is a very young, loving, playful 4 year old Saint Bernard who suffered from stranger anxiety when he came into our program in November of 2019. He went through our rehabilitation training program & excelled very well & was adopted in April of 2020. Unfortunately his new dad was arrested in July & Chase was being kept by the roommate & immediately regressed into his anxiety. He was the first to leave our behavioral program 100% off muzzle and apparently had nipped at a bicycle rider recently after losing his dad. We were terribly worried about him as he had done so well, so we drove to New England to get him back. Chase came back into his original foster home like he never left! He still knew his training skills just fine. When I gave him clear directions, he excelled but I wanted that second opinion of our behaviorist to be sure he truly was okay. I truly believe Chase just needs a DILIGENT, strong & confident handler! He needs to be given clear direction & he excels as he loves to please you! Chase gives VERY clear signals when he is uncomfortable, anxious or nervous. He is absolutely amazing with other dogs, loves the dog park, daycare & play dates! Chase does fantastic with grooming & in public places. He can be stubborn during moments when there are lots of stimuli but he has the training & skills to succeed given the opportunity! Chase deserves a new home that loves his goofy stubborn ways and nibble kisses. Chase loves to give nibble kisses & climb into your lap for snuggles, he totally believes he is a lap dog even at 150 pounds! He loves the bathtub or bathroom faucet & will keep you laughing all the time! I truly love and adore this boy & hope that you will see the sparkle that we see in him! He is truly an amazing dog worthy of a wonderful home! Chase loves toys, treats, snuggles, belly & butt scratches! Chase cannot live in a home with children under 16, due to history and our insurance requirements. We ADOPT NATIONWIDE & DELIVER NATIONWIDE!!
