About Mocha

Meet Mocha, a sweet senior girl who came to Peace Love and Poms Rescue from a local vet. Unfortunately, her owner did not want her any longer and tried several times to have her euthanized. Thankfully a wonderful caring vet saw that Mocha had lots of life and love left to give and was able to have the owner surrender Mocha. She was so matted she had to be shaved and the vet removed years worth of eye crust. We are told Mocha is 17 years old. Mocha was diagnosed with kidney disease and is receiving treatment. We do not know how she will respond yet and may be a hospice case pending assessment. If she does stabilize enough a new home would be required to give Mocha subq fluids. Kidney disease also makes dog's appetite dwindle and it can be difficult getting them to eat. You can follow her story on Peace Love and Poms Rescue's Facebook and Instagram page.
