About Jigs

Welcome Jigs to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 9 -year-old dog. Looks like a Chiweenie or Chihuahua/Dashchund mix is our best guess. He weighs about 10 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He came from a 70-dog hoarding situation. Animal Control came in and removed all the dogs and called rescues to step up. CCPAL took in 17 of these dogs and many other great rescues also came in to help out. He likes to be held even though he may not have gotten his fair share with 69 other dogs. He is a little nervous when removed from other dogs. So, a patient person who will give him time and be gentle with him while he learns being held and this touching thing is ok. He is getting lots of attention at the rescue. He is great with other dogs, good with a cat and is decent in his crate. His best home would be with someone willing to polish up his training and someone to give him lots of attention and love. He probably would feel most comfortable in a home with another dog to show him the ropes. He will only need a smaller amount of exercise and is currently figuring out the pee pad. He is submissive and willing to learn. He is a smart, loyal lap dog. He should be a nice walking companion once he figures it out the leash. He has never been on leash. He is a loving little dog and will be best in a home of kiddos 10 or older due to his small size. He would be great with a smaller yard like a condo setting and is not overly vocal. He is healthy, getting vaccinations and will be ready for his forever home soon. His adoption fee is 250. He is in a foster home in Middlefield, Conneticut.
