Callie is a 1yr old lab mix, she's weighs 30-35lbs and is the goofiest, most loving girl you could possibly meet. Callie is a great snuggler, though she doesn't sit still for long. She has springs in her legs and bounces all over! She is super playful and usually always has a toy in her mouth, she's good with other dogs and would benefit from having a K9 sibling. She's good with dog savvy cats that don't run, as she thinks chase is a fun game, but she does listen and will stop when asked. Callie will require a fenced in yard or someone who is a daily runner, she is not suited for apartment life with her high energy level. She is great with kids, but again with her high energy level, she would be best suited for children over the age of 10yrs old. Callie, is being clicker trained and knows sit, down, and is working on 'wait' to come out of her crate, for her food and to go through door ways. She has been trained to walk in a Gentle Leader, as she is a puller on a collar or harness. She has to wear a special martingale collar, not a regular collar if being walked by a collar, as she knows the duck and run to escape. Callie, must be crated when left alone as she likes to find ways to entertain herself and is a big chewer when bored. Her foster mom highly recommends continuing her training by taking a few training classes, once she's adopted. She is super smart and wants to please. Callie, does resource-guard food from other dogs and must be separated during meal time. She does well in her foster home, by being crated while she and the other dogs eat. Callie is going to blossom into a lovely girl for the perfect active family, that can give her the time and love that she needs! As part of Callie's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Callie is heartworm negative.
