About Trooper

Trooper here and, ohhhhhh, what a story I have! You may remember I landed at rescue from Barrow County Animal Shelter with a bad leg back in July of 2020. They sent me to the vet for an x-ray and OUCH! I'm not going to lie, it wasn't pretty. But if you know this rescue, you know they also have an amazing vet who is good at putting little guys like me back together (you might remember Sawyer, Teddy and many more). After extensive surgery to repair things, I spent a good month at Dr. Wright's with his wonderful staff to recover. I was released in August and then needed to spend three months at the rescue ranch with the other dogs. I mostly had to rest in a crate (boo!), but once I started showing improvement, I got to run a lot and play. I especially love playing with this shy, cute girl here named Billie. I begin hydrotherapy sessions on 11/10/20 here in Georgia (the first of a series that should be continued for a while), but doc has cleared me for adoption to someone who understands my situation and is willing to work with me. The rescue will be more than happy to work with you on that, too. Because I'm so active again, I'll definitely need that fenced yard.
