About Betsy

Meet Betsy Hi I am Betsy, I am a 12 year old female black lab. I was saved by Freedom Tails Ohio. They saved me from an uncertain outcome by pulling me from a shelter where I was scared and not happy being there. I am completely housebroken. I have not had one accident in my fosters home. I know basic commands like sit, no, yes. I will let you know when i need to go out to go potty. I will go to the door and back. When i am ready to come back in I will bark to let you know. I enjoy laying outside in the sun. I will not get on your furniture without asking for permission first. If you say yes and ok up, I will get up and sit with you. If you say no I will lay down beside the furniture. I love my big round bed. I enjoy laying on it an watching tv with my foster family. I sometimes have trouble going up the stairs as my hips are not what they use to be. I love treats and I am working on being gentle when I take them from my foster hand. I am dog friendly except when it comes to my food. I am food aggressive and will protect my food. If there are other dogs in your house I will need to be feed alone. I dont mind cats but I will bark at them. They are just funny looking to me. I am not kid tested, but i am super laid back. Not much gets to me as long as no other dogs come near my food. I dont mind being in my create when my foster family has to be gone. I do not sleep in my create at night. I sleep on my bed. I do like to gather up all the dog toys from the other dogs and hide them under my bed or in my create under my blankets. I walk on a leash but due my hips are not what they use to be I am slow and needs several breaks. I snore, not to to loud but I do snore. I am looking for my forever home. I just want to be love and cared for in my senior year.
