About Nigel

Adoption Fee: $350
Tibetan Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Ladies & gentleman, we're excited to introduce the most dapper man you'll ever meet... Say hello to our little dude Nigel. He's a 3 year old Terrier mix, who weighs in at 24 lbs. Handsome, compact, sweet, silly, funny, inquisitive, timid, goofy, & loving are just a few words to describe him! Nigel came from a hoarding case of 15 dogs and him feeling like a part of a pack helps keeps his anxiety down - or else he wants to sit in your lap, or sleep in your arms or run circles around you in the yard until he finally rolls over for a belly rub!! Nigel is very fearful when it comes to new people, is currently working on his separation anxiety & will need a furever home that will have patience & the time to help him excel. He takes treats like a gentleman. He is crate trained but prefers not to be in one. It's necessary though, because Nigel is also smart enough to learn how to open the garbage can drawer!! Completely house trained, and will let you know when it's time to go out by running back and forth to the door. Not much of a barker, but will whine for about ten minutes when put in his crate. LOVES to go for walks, but likes to check everything out on both sides of the sidewalk and could tangle someone up if they aren't paying attention!! Nigel loves other dogs and cats!! He will cuddle up with my cats - even if they don't want him to! Adoption #Requirements: No Exceptions - Fenced in Yard Required - Adopter MUST HAVE another dog in the home for him to bond with - Nigel is fearful of Men - No kids under the age of 16 no exceptions, as Nigel is scared of quick movement Nigel is currently up for adoption through Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue. His adoption fee is $350 & will include his distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, & lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; fecal test & being fixed. Nigel is heartworm negative & is currently on both flea & tick and heartworm prevention. ***PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS**** With the Covid-19 Pandemic going on we are still doing adoptions, but please remember that we are all volunteers and safety comes first. Please make sure to call your vet to grant them permission to release this information to our rescue. That being said, all of the animals in each applicant's home must be UTD on all of their vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies), an UTD Heartworm Test, & currently on both Flea & Tick, as well as Heartworm Prevention. So please make sure that when you are applying that all of your current animals go to the vet that is listed. How To Apply: If you're interested in adopting one of our available dogs: 1. Email [email protected] with the dogs name as the subject when you ask for the adoption application. 2. Once you have completed the application, please print it out, fill it out, scan it, & then email it back to [email protected].
