About Delilah

Delilah is simply delightful! We estimate her birth to be July 2020. She is a Blue French Bulldog and American Bulldog mix. She is a happy, playful doggie, often playing tumble and tug with her Lab/Great Dane canine friend. Her favorite things are frolicking on sandy beaches and playing in the snow. She plays a mean game of tug of war, and her 'fetch' game is beyond adorable. After her morning meal and play session, Delicious Delilah loves to spend her day playing 'soccer' around the house and then relaxing and snoozing on the lap of her foster mom while she works. She is the star of the Zoom meetings! Delilah was born with Spina Bifida and has worked very hard to gain the use of her back legs and it has paid off big time! This girl can really move! Unfortunately, she remains incontinent due to the Spina Bifida but she can wear a diaper. Despite the challenges she is working to overcome, she is unstoppable. She is inspirational with her tremendous will to live. It does take some time and patience to care for Delilah, but it's so worth it! You will be rewarded with tons of licks and kisses. And did I mention that she is the best snuggler? She is a love bug! Make room in your heart for this super adorable doggie! Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
