About Scooby

Adoption Fee: $100.00
Cairn mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Scooby is a dashing carin terrier mix looking for his forever home! He just turned 7 years old and weighs in at about 14 pounds. He is very leery of strangers at first and will need to meet his potential adopters a couple of times before he will be comfortable. Scooby strongly prefers women in comparison to men! If there are any men in the home, they will need to be very patient and understanding as he takes his time getting used to them. Scooby is a very energetic and active boy and needs a home that can keep up with him! He loves to go for walks and hikes. Although Scooby leads an active lifestyle, he will not thrive in a busy home. He would do best with one or two people with limited visitors since he takes a while to get comfortable with new people. Once he knows you, his eyes will light up and he will dance for you! Scooby is professionally trained to sit, lay down, stay, heel, and come when on leash. He comes with two additional training sessions. He has been waiting a long time for his perfect home since he doesn't make the best first impression. Scooby is not fond of dogs, cats or kids. He will need to be the center of attention in his home as the only pet. Scooby will need a home with no children under the age of 18. He will not do well in an apartment setting and requires a home with a securely fenced in yard. He is great in a car and loves walks and hikes. He is house broken and kennel trained. He sleeps in his foster mom's bedroom in a crate and is quiet as a mouse. He will need to be kept in the bedroom at night to be comfortable, as he loves to be able to see his person all the time. --- He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $100 which includes a free vet visit. To do a meet and greet, contact the foster Dr. Kim at [email protected] please.
