About Bert

***Adoption Pending*** Bert is a 3-month-old male chihuahua/dachshund mix. He weighs just under 3 lbs. He needs a home with another dog to play with as he is used to having his litter mate as a companion. He is crate trained and sleeps well in his crate during work hours and nights. He is still working on potty training and needs a family that will continue to work with him. He is very active and loves playing with other dogs and will make anything a toy. Due to his small size, a home with no children under the age of 6 is required. Bert is up to date on all vaccinations, is microchipped and will come with a neuter contract to be completed within 6 months of adoption. If you would like to add Bert to your family, please complete an adoption application at www.handsofhoperescue.com/adoptapp. Bert 's adoption fee is $175 with a $75 neuter deposit that will be returned with proof of neuter. All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered near Wichita, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. We do allow out of state adoptions, however qualified in state applications will be given preference. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
