Koda is at best guess an 11 month old, Lab/Border Collie mix. He is small framed weighing 40-45lbs and has that delicate way about him like the collie. Koda has not received much socialization in his short life so new people and new situations are scary. Since coming into rescue, each day is a new thing to learn. We are learning all about etiquette with baths, commands, collars, leash walks, city noises, car rides, crates, house life, and other animals. In fact, he does exceptionally well with other dogs and even cats. He would likely flourish in a home with another dog(s) as he can learn a lot from their confidence in new situations and when meeting new people. Koda likes to crawl up on the couch with you a cuddle closely. Koda has warmed up to his foster family in a few short days. Once he feels safe with you, he often jumps up gently for comforting pats of reassurance. He will make one loyal companion to the person or family who adopts him and gives him the time to get to know them. He would likely enjoy attending doggie daycare a couple times a week. Koda has an adoption fee of $350. He will only be adopted out to a family that has a fenced in yard, as he is likely to flee is let loose. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm testing and started on heartworm/flea/tick prevention as well as a dose to go home with him.
