I have 3 Pointers. Sam and his sister just turned 2 on 10/28/2020. I rescued him from a breeder because he was neglected and brought him into our home! He is such a sweet boy and is very loyal.. I have had several instances with Sambreaking out of his kennel. When he does and is alone he stays in my acreage..and if wonders he's always back home in 10 minutes. When they get out together they both chase pheasants, rabbits, cats, etc.. then usually have to drive across town to pick them up. He is a very bulky, not fat but dense and strong dog, and like to play w his sisters. He has hurt Lola more then a couple times! (Both have parts to play in it) just yesterday he and Lola wrestled and all sudden yelping, it was Lola on the ground with a dislocated right front elbow....I personally didn't want a 3rd or a male and took this on to help a dog because I love them, I also had a person lined up to take him once I trained him obedience, to hunt, and got healthy again. Then the person backed out. It breaks my heart to being filling this out and can't imagine getting rid of him but I can't afford my other hunting dogs to keep getting hurt from his clumsy ways of playing. Sam needs lots of room to run, he usually runs about 20 acres and then around the yard. I have gotten him to be really good at hurdling cattle as well as hunting. If u plan on tying him up all day everyday, don't bother! He comes from great line of genetics as well! He is house broken and crate trained. He sleeps in my room, always like a log! Big appetite and a grazer..loves to swim! Loves to play fetch. How can't u love when they're happy or pointing while hunting w there knubbed docked tails wiggling a million miles a second! If you are a great human and want a dog to never leave ur side and one u can trust with u and go with u everywhere, or a farm dog...he'd be perfect. I don't want to be free just because I don't want him getting picked up to breed and then locked away. Serious GSP and Dog lovers only!
