About Roxie *ADOPTION PEND.*

Adoption Fee: $275
Border Collie mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

*ADOPTION PENDING* That girl with the sweet, mischievous grin is our Moxie Roxie! Roxie is an approximately 7-year-old, 40-pound Border Collie mix. She came to us after her previous people moved and couldn't take her with. Roxie's name means 'Dawn' and it fits. This doll is eager for her new beginning! Roxie is the complete package: an intelligent Border Collie with a bit of attitude and a lot of heart. Looking for a sweet walking companion? Roxie loves trotting by her person's side. Maybe a playtime partner? She's game for a little 'Fetch' (though she prefers to keep what she fetches.) A snuggle sidekick? Foster Mom calls Roxie 'Lover and Cuddle Bud'. Roxie checks ALL the boxes! Roxie, of course, is house trained and doesn't mind hanging out in her crate. She does well on her leash. Roxie doesn't hesitate to let her Person know when she needs a little attention or a cuddle. A bit of a little huntress, she sees it as her duty to protect her People and territory by chasing off groundhog, squirrel, and bird intruders. Roxie gets along great with her foster canine siblings, though she tends to be bossier with the shier ones. What are Moxie Roxie's Forevers looking for in a dog? They are looking for a smart, all around great companion to be a little active with and lavish lots of love on. Roxie is a typical Border Collie. She would be a great housemate for someone home alone, or a person looking for a buddy to bond with. Walks, backyard toss, snuggle time? Roxie is your girl! She has even taken an agility class or two in the past. Who does Roxie long for? Since she has a bit of a Roxie-knows-best attitude at times, Roxie is looking for an experienced canine Person to help her stay her best doggie self. Roxie's home would be with kids 8 and up who respect and understand dogs or no children. She'd do well with a canine friend, as long as the resident pup is confident enough not be bothered by Roxie's bossy tendencies. She hasn't been around cats and may likely chase them at first, but should do fine with slow, monitored introductions and consistent 'leave it'. Roxie is not looking to share a home with small critters or birds. She would like a fenced-in yard, but it is not required for the Person who will be by her side. As she has imperfect recall skills and is distracted by birds, squirrels, and other varmints, Roxie's Person should be comfortable giving her direction and guidance. What Roxie wants most is simple: 'Dear Adopter, I am looking for my Best Friend, the Person who is my Forever, and will never leave me behind again. I am so ready to have my Forever Beginning with you. ' Are you and Moxie Roxie destined to meet every new day together?
