About Jack O Lantern

Jack O Lantern is a happy go lucky boy who is full of love - making him a favorite among some of the volunteers! At a year old, Jack is still full of good nature, puppy play and would benefit from a strong leader to guide him on additional training for his basic commands. Jack gets along with other dogs, but might chase a running cat. He loves to go on walks and hikes and to play with plush toys. He is very smart and walks well on a leash. Because of his size, his energy may be too much for smaller children, so a home with teen aged children and perhaps another dog to play with would suit him best. Jack O Lantern has the potential to be an awesome family dog for someone willing to put some work into training. Jack weighs about 52 pounds. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
