About Nova

Adoption Fee: $200
Boxer / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

This baby girl is Nova. She is a 45-50lb, 8 month old big baby. Her Mom was a Staffy/boxer mix and Dad was a full boxer. She is mainly white but has black ears and a black dot on by her eye. She has some black spots that came out on her body like a Dalmatian. Lol. She will be spayed on Wednesday & UTD on shots. Nova loves dogs, she seems to do better with bigger dogs though. Little dogs get annoyed with her energy and don't seem to want to play with her. She loves cats too but again, so far they are not thrilled with her nor do they want to play with her. She talks to them. Lol. She is a big talker. She low whines to try to talk them into playing and then runs when they hiss or slap @ her. She is a big baby who needs someone to teach her some manners. She has a lot of energy and doesn't realize her own strength. So she will pull and jump around and gets a little rambunctious. She needs a family who will play with her and has time to let her run off some energy. She will listen when you tell her down after she jumps on you, but she still needs some work, she is still a baby. She likes to lay on your lap and sometimes you might get a smack with her tail. Lol. She is just happy being loved. She is treat motivated and very smart. She loves playing with toys and we are going to try throwing ball with her later. She does ok on a leash but will need work. She still pulls. She also does great in a car. She is a talker so far, but not a barker. She was adopted as a puppy but returned. We are told that she goes great with kids who are older but not so much with small kids. She has too much energy right now. She was said to have jumped at small kids & nipped at them. Today at the dog park though, she licked 2 small girls and loved on them. I had to hold her from jumping on them though. She did not do so aggressively, she just has a ton of energy. So far, I can see she sits and lays down. She does have the attention span of a toddler. Lol. She is a great girl, but she will need room to run and some gentle/authoritative teaching. If interested in Nova. A meet & greet is a must. You can fill out an application on www.wetzelpets.com You may also call or text foster Mom. (304)771-1085
