About Selkie

Selkie is heartworm positive but is currently undergoing treatment and expected to make a full recovery. Queen bee Selkie is a 3 year old lab mix who just wants to be somebody's baby! If you take her home, she will happily stay by your side. Undersocialized in her puppy years, she loves other dogs but can be rude when greeting them. An experienced dog owner is a must for this 85 pound lovely lady; she is still building confidence and needs firm structure and consistency in her new home. Selkie is: House trained. Good with most dogs (not a good fit for a dominant female). Rides nicely in a vehicle. Medium energy. In many ways Selkie acts as though she is experiencing the world for the first time, and perhaps she is! She has a puppyish way about her despite being three years old and is cuddly, affectionate and loving. She enjoys being the center of attention and is more than ready to join her new family at home!
