Australian Cattle Dog / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Date into Rescue: 4/28/2020 Reason for being in rescue: Patches and Maguire were put in CPR's fence overnight. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted Weight: 58 lb Height: 23 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Patches needs a home with owners that know how to shape a young dog into a lovable house pet! Patches is dog selective- he gets along with some dogs but not others. Patches prefers to be the only apple of someone's eye. We have not tested Patches with kids. Patches loves to be outside and run in the field. He needs a home that will provide him with a safe space to explore outside. Patches is looking for a home as an only dog with no cats. What is my personality like? We do not know much about Patches' past, but we do know he was loved. Patches and his brother Maguire were dropped off inside our gate overnight and left with a note asking us to please take care of them. We believe they were well loved, but not able to be cared for financially. Patches is a young dog with lots of potential, he just needs a patient owner willing to work with him. He is strong willed and will need a strong leader to teach him some manners. Patches is high energy and needs an outlet for that. He will need daily exercise. Patches is highly intelligent and needs a 'job' to do, whether it's playing or working alongside his owner on a farm. Patches no absolutely no manners, but don't let this scare you away! What Patches lacks in household manners, he makes up for with a willing mind and open heart ready to learn. How do I act when I first meet new people? Patches loves all people, but can be wary of other dogs. He is also terrified of the vacuum cleaner! Other tips and tidbits: Patches' estimated birthday is 5/23/18. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
