Meet BJ (3 Available for Adoption Salisbury, NC Friends of Stanly County Animals Rescue Hi! My name is BJ! I'm an approximately 7 year old black & tan coonhound. The vet couldn't tell my exact age when I was taken to be neutered because my mouth was in such bad shape. I'd been in pain for a long time but no one knew or cared. He ended up having to pull most of my teeth. But the meds he gave me has helped to heal my gums and now I can eat better than ever. I weight around 55 pounds and I love everyone. You see, I hunted for my owner for a long while but when I got to where I just couldn't anymore, he just let me loose to find another home. I didn't know where to go so I just kept going back because I was hungry and thirsty. He would meet me at the drive and run me off again. I was scared and didn't understand. Thankfully, some nice neighbor people contacted a rescue for me(the one I'm with now) and told them I was either going to be shot or run over by a car, that I needed a safe place to go immediately. They took me in that night and I was vetted the next week. I am neutered, HW Negative, current on all my vaccinations, AND micro chipped.
