About Shandy

Welcome Shandy to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Siberian Husky dog. She showed up at a good Samaritan's home who took her in. She was skinny and had a bad looking coat. She has gotten some good nutrition, lots of love and she is looking great. They have added 5 pounds to her and her size is looking great. She is about 50 pounds now and may be ideal weight at this size. She was found to be heartworm positive. CCPAL has already treated her for the heartworms and she is on her road to recovery. She is doing well in her home. She is best as an on leash dog. Husky dogs have a roaming potential so a fenced yard will be necessary. We would like someone familiar with the breed. She has the coat that will make the northern climates more attractive for this dog. She has not lived with kids. She would be best with kiddos of 15 or older due to her shyness. She met Reggae at the rescue and Reggae loved Shandy. Shandy was very interested and nice to the pup even with the pup bit her tail. She is timid of storms and is fine in a black wire crate. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the local transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 185.
