She can be put down anytime.!!There was an issue during her transport and because of this, the foster has refused to take her in. We all know what happens to dogs returned to the ACC. They can put her down anytime without being put on the TBK list. Please share Raspberry Swirl! ABANDONED TIED TO A POLE! Raspberry Swirl obviously never had a good life, her cropped ears look like a homemade job. Her coat isn't healthy, and she has a mammary tumor that needs to be removed. She needs to get comfortable in new surroundings, and she has! She's used as an ACC greeter dog to calm new intakes into the ACC. Please help this beautiful sweet momma who deserves to know a better life, not death. Open your heart to a deserving doggie whose eyes speak loud and clear! Raspberry Swirl is a seasoned doggie with cropped ears and the most expressive eyes. She was found roaming, so her history remains a mystery. She was sweet and sociable upon intake allowing all handling. She's quite adorable with her coat markings, spiked ears and little jowls. Her best 'notice me' feature are her bright and clear eyes! So expressive, so weary, so inquisitive, so honest! RS is looking for a companion, someone to confide in, connect with and pursue a happy life with. Whether she lived a sad life, or now forlorn over saying goodbye to it, one thing is for sure, she is filled with emotion, experienced, and wise. All the qualities which make a worthwhile friend. RASPBERRY SWIRL 97025 BROOKLYN ACC Estimated to be 7 years old Raspberry Swirl was brought in by a member of the public who noticed she was tied up to a pole at least overnight. Raspberry Swirl received a bath for some greasy/itchy skin and also has a mammary tumor. Behaviorally, she has been friendly at times and gave kisses during her medical exam, but has been observed to snap at handlers at other times. She showed promise with a gate greet conducted with another dog, greeting with a neutral posture and keeping to herself. Basic Information: Raspberry Swirl is an approximately 7 year old female medium mixed breed that came in to BACC as a found stray. There are no known injuries or health issues. When Raspberry first arrived she was scared and there were reports of her snapping at the handlers hands however as she decompressed she greatly improved . A shelter is a very scary place specially after being tied up and abandon by her owner . Need to have a little compassion here of what she had been through . Other Notes: Unknown Information Behavior Notes: Upon intake, Raspberry Swirl was very sweet. She was wagging her tail and allowed the counselor to collar, leash, take her picture, scan for a microchip, and walk without any issues. While in the Admissions office, he allowed the counselor to pet and she laid on the floor comfortably. 6/26: Due to a lack of greeters, a gate greet is conducted. Raspberry Swirl greets with a neutral posture before walking away, keeping to herself. Wagging tail, sweet, allowed handling Nervous, warmed up quickly, lean into pets Observed Behavior - A little nervous, but warms up slowly and will lick face and lean into pets.
