About Gibby

Gibby is happy, healthy and active. He's current on his shots, has been obedience trained, loves playing with balls and going for walks and will sit with you and nudge your hand until you pet him. He gets anxious when he is in unfamiliar situations. He is very sweet once he gets to know you, but initially he will need a little time to bond with his new family. He is also anxious around strange dogs, and he was involved in a fight with a small dog recently (we don't know who the aggressor was) and because of this and some other issues (our health and living arrangements) we can no longer keep him. We are very attached to him and are heartbroken to see him go but he cannot stay with us. If we don't find a new home for him soon, we will be forced to euthanize him. He's about 5, and we've had him for over 4 years. He gets along very well with our other dog but because of his anxiety he would probably do best with adults as an only dog in his new home. Gibby is a good dog that got caught up in a lousy situation and now he needs a home. We are happy to donate some money toward his care if that will help.
