Have you ever seen a Veenershnauzer? Well, meet Hugo! He's a delightful mix of schnauzer and we believe dachshund -- he's a pretty long fellow, but tiny at that! Hugo is only nine pounds but is on the thin side after being stray for a while and then landing at the county shelter, unclaimed. He could stand to put on maybe 3-4 pounds and be at a perfect weight. Between 1-2 years old, Hugo has a charming temperament. He does well with the other dogs in his foster home and *another compatible playful dog in the home is required * -- he's playful, loves toys, is well-behaved around food, takes treat gently, and ... of course, like a good boy, he is potty trained! Children in the home would be okay provided they are at least 8 years old and of a responsible and respectful nature. Adoption fee for Hugo is $480. He is neutered, vet-checked, vaccinated, and microchipped. He'll go to his new home with collar & ID tag, harness and leash, and sooooo much love to give!
