About Lars

Lars is a sweet 12 yr old senior beagle mix looking for love for whatever time he has left on this earth... He currently weighs 30 pounds. Lars was found abandoned living in a car. His ears were infected. His skin was infected. His eyes were infected. He has dental disease. He was emaciated and could barely move his hind legs. Even after all the neglect that he has suffered, he is a sweet boy that is enjoying the comforts of his foster home. Lars recently had a full medical evaluation at our vet. We treated all of his infections with medication & his bloodwork looks good. Unfortunately our vet doesn't think he would survive anesthesia for a dental or neuter surgery. The vet believes his mobility issues are due to nerve damage, which is irreversible but he is moving much better now. I can't make any promises on how long this poor boy has. We just want him to be spoiled until the end of his time. Lars prefers a quiet home without children, a fenced yard to explore freely and no more than 1 or 2 steps to go outside. There's a good chance that he's a candidate for a wheelchair in the future. Our rescue will provide one if that's what our vet suggests.
