*****AVAILABLE IN NEW ENGLAND ONLY ***** Meet Sue Sue (Brown-Eyed-Susan)!! Sue Sue came to rescue from a small underfunded shelter in Alabama. She had nine 7-week-old nursing puppies with her. The puppies were fat and happy, but Sue was very undernourished-yet still so lovable. After weaning her pups, gaining weight, and gaining confidence that she was loved, Sue has blossomed into an extraordinary girl. She gets along with all kinds of dogs. Foster mom has 6 dogs, and they weigh between 7lbs and 60 lbs. The personalities range from: constant play to grumpy old man. Sue navigates all these different dogs perfectly. She is a hound and loves to have her nose to the ground. Foster mom has a fenced yard and a doggy-door, and she is completely housetrained with that set up. Most of her day is spent curled up near foster mom or on the couch, but if she sees a squirrel in the backyard, she just can't help herself and chases it out of the yard. There are also deer in bear nearby and Sues is sure to alert her foster family if they are around! She is a good leash-walker with a harness but hold on tight if she sees a squirrel or chipmunk. It is her nature to sniff out and chase, so a fenced yard is ideal, and she should never be off leash when not so contained. Sue loves to have her belly rubbed and her forehead kissed. She likes surrounding herself with chew toys and stuffed animals. Foster mom talks to her throughout the day, reassuring her she is a wonderful girl and that she should forget all about her past. Nothing but GOOD ahead for this amazing gal! Sue came to rescue with heartworms but was successfully treated. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 50 pounds. Sue is a keeper, so loving and good-natured - she will make some lucky forever family very happy indeed!
