Lily is a very loyal and playful senior dog, perfectly sized at 45 lbs. She is a Chow Shepard or Lab mix and her tongue is black (Chow breed trait) and she is about 13-15 years old. She is true to Chow nature and prefers to grow close to one person and can be protective. She has a tendency to herd others away, and having a small child now, this has become problematic, so we sadly have to rehome her after all these years. She makes a great guard dog and will bark to alert you of visitors. But for her chosen person she is very kind, loving, and a dear member of the family. She is intelligent, playful, affectionate, loves to play outside but is an indoor dog who will snuggle next to you on the couch. We have loved having her as part of our fam for many years but she is having a hard time adjusting to the baby and needs to find a new home that will be less stressful for her. Please share and help us get the word out. She is in San Diego but we can deliver her (along with her bed, dishes, toys, harness, leash, brushes, and food) to the right home within a 2-3 hour drive. She is getting all her shots updated on Nov. 6 and will be evaluated by her vet. We will get her groomed before adoption. Thanks!
