About Chilly

Chilly is a one year old intact male who came to me by way of this website. His owner described him as female friendly only, and his previous post may still be active. Having volunteered at a local shelter and gaining some familiarity with various behaviors, I was curious to meet Chilly to form my own opinion. As soon I met him, it became obvious to me that Chilly was fearful of men but responded very well to me. His owner indicated that her living situation would result surrendering him to a shelter within days if a suitable home could not be found. We agreed that if a home was not found that I would foster Chilly to avoid the traumatic experience of shelter life. I have been working with Chilly using balanced behavior conditioning to which he has responded beyond my expectations. I have accomplished in days what took weeks to achieve in a high stress shelter environment, confirming the value of fostering over shelter life. This is a handsome dog, one that attracts attention and compliments everywhere we go. He has been described as majestic. There is simply too much to be said about Chilly to post here. Chilly must go to someone who understands operant conditioning and will commit to continuing the work that I started. But if he stays with me too long, he will become my dog.
