About Dakota

Beautiful two year old Australian Kelpie/Blue Heeler mix. Her name is Dakota. She is a working dog and loves to explore, go on road trips, hiking, swimming and running. I have fostered her since quarantine back in May as she needed to be rescued and we have spent every day at home together. I absolutely love this dog and wish I could keep her permanently but unfortunately I already have one dog and can no longer house her as I return to work away from home. She needs preferably a house with a yard and fence. She is an indoor dog but ABSOLUTELY needs exercise. She is highly intelligent, intuitive and learns quickly. She can hike without a leash if you're in nature, can sit, shake, lay down and is house trained. Best for a family, with or without kids, couple or active single person. Good with big dogs, great with children, not good with small dogs unless they are young or puppies. She is an alpha female and can be moody with other female alpha dogs. She is a very special girl.
