About Arlo

Meet Arlo!! This gorgeous fun loving puppy is ready for a great family to love!! Arlo is a 7 month old, male, mix breed. He weighs approximately 40 pounds. He has a stunning coloration that doesn't show through well in the photos. We think he's possibly a Dutch shepherd/ pitbull mix or something similar. (His coat is very soft and slightly longer than a pitbull coat.) He will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped as part of his adoption. Arlo is great with other dogs. He can be a bit intrusive to them as he rushes over to greet them. He thinks that all the dogs want to be his friend and really doesn't know yet how to meet new friends calmly. He is also good around cats. He likes kids but currently is hyper and needs his manners refined. Smaller kids will likely get knocked over on accident. He is mostly potty trained. He did great in his kennel and had no accidents. He sleeps through the night without any problems. He is also great in the car. His leash manners are 50/50. He goes from walking perfectly to being a wild child when he gets excited. We are working on this with him and he's learning quickly. Arlo doesn't know what a stranger is. He thinks everyone is a new friend to play with. Super sweet and goofy personality. He's still all puppy energy and loves to play. He was not at all cooperative with our attempts to take nice photos of him, he wanted to play ��%A4|��%8F%BC�'�%8D��'ە�%8F It appears that Arlo never really had any consistent guidance or training. He needs some of his manners refined. He will jump up on you and pull on the leash at times. He also needs to learn how to greet dogs calmly as other dogs don't always appreciate his over zealous hellos���� We have already begun to work on these things with him and he is starting to understand what is acceptable behavior. He has the potential to be an amazing dog for someone willing to finish up his training. He's extremely eager to please and learns quickly.
