About Rusty

This handsome red Australian Cattledog is Rusty. He is around a year old, likely born in October 2019. He weighs around 38 pounds. Rusty learns fast. In his foster home he has learned sit, wait, heel, and almost has down mastered. Rusty is also house and crate trained. He will go into his crate willingly most of the time. Sometimes he still needs convincing. A new home needs to be ready to reinforce his house training. Rusty is a good traveler. He will now hop right in the crate in the car and he rides very well, not making a peep. Rusty is good with other dogs after he has had time to warm up. He can still be a little shy initially but he shows progress everyday. He just needs someone to stay consistent. Rusty loves tennis balls and shows great promise in being a fetcher. Rusty is a very loving dog, he likes to follow you around the house making sure he is involved in whatever you're doing. He is very devoted to his people and will appreciate a home that has him involved in what's going on. Rusty will appreciate a home with another confident dog. He is fine for a single person or a small family. Young kids are not a fit for him. Rusty is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
