Looking for a special person to adopt a bonded pair. Di and Prince are 1 1/2 -2 years old and around 45 lbs. They lived most of their lives at a horrible shelter in Louisiana. We rescued them last summer. Since they were at the shelter since they were puppies, they met very few people. As a result they have ' stranger danger' syndrome. They are fearful of strangers and will react by barking until they know you are a good person with treats. They are very loveable dogs with us, but due to the Corona virus they have met very few people here also when they came to our rescue. So that is the bad news...but we have hope and the good news is that they are at a behavorial trainer in Sheridan, Indiana who is teaching them to trust. It would be nice to find an adopter close to the trainer so they can do training with them. They will be there for a few more weeks at least. We would love for them to stay together, as separating them would be hard for them, but at this point we are looking at all of our options.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 They are couch potatoes and love to sun themselves and play in the yard. They are quiet and well-mannered dogs, they become reactive (barking) when strangers approach so socialization is needed and thats what the trainer is helping them with. With that being said, we are looking for an experienced��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 dog owner.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0They do wonderfully together, play and entertain themselves.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0They have been treated for heartworms , spayed neutered, microchipped. Rehoming fee has been waived for the right adopter.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 ��%BD��%BD%BD%A0Qualifications to adopt: someone that is home more during the day, experienced dog owner that is patient and willing to work through problems. A secure fenced in back yard 4' tall minimum , no children unless older.
