About

Adoption Fee: $75
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Ruffles is a beautiful tiny brown silver black spotted short hair female approx. 1yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted and spayed. She is good with other nice cats, a calm dog and older kids. A young couple was alerted to a tiny hot trailer that was suspected of being filled with cats. They broke into it and found a horrific scene. 9 cats were rescued, adults, teenagers and a tiny newborn were saved. Sadly, the rest had died. We are so thankful for our first-time rescuers! PLEASE PEOPLE GET HELP! HOARDERS WHO CHOOSE TO COLLECT ANIMALS INSTEAD OF NEWSPAPERS AREN'T HELPING! MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! These were owned cats that have been thru hell. They are not aggressive, will not hiss, spit or scratch whatsoever. We do not know all what they endured, however we do know they are great cats that were loved at one time before they were subjected to cruelty. They are so deserving of a lifetime of love. Up for adoption are Rosco, Rabbit, Raspberrie, Remi and Ruffles and they all love each other if you are looking for a pair. Ck them out at cnps.petfinder.com then click on 'view our pets' and scroll. Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed. You cannot force them, that will scare them. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period. After her adjustment period she will be out in the open sitting, laying amongst her people and she will benefit with a slower approach. She is a very sweet girl that has a 'birthmark' on her eye. She loves to play and can be caught zooming up and down the hall and up the cat tree, she may pause to eat and drink then will snuggle in a cubby for a nap. She likes to give head bumps and will literally flop down at your feet if you are standing or when you walk into the room to demand attention. She is not a talker but she may chirp and she is nosy needing to check things out. She is not a holdy holdy kitty and will not be in your face and prefers playtime and love at her level. She needs a cat tree and loves to be up on it looking out the windows to watch the birds. She loves human companionship and needs a kitty friend to play with. She is our chameleon that seems to always change colors. She will happily cuddle to your side if you are sitting and she loves her belly rubbed and will give lots of kisses. Her favorite interactive toys are feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. She loves a laser lite, turbo ball and catnip. She uses a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor. She is free fed Costco orange bag quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and she likes a few temptations treats throughout the day. She gets half a can of Fancy Feast morning and night. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Ruffles FOR LIFE!
