About Scout

Scout is an approximately one-year-old, 25-lb heeler mix currently being fostered in Englewood, FL (Sarasota County). This fun, joyful fellow loves to run and play outside! He is very good at entertaining himself and can make a toy out of anything. He also enjoys playing tug with his foster mom and foster dog sister. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he plays well with a 6-lb chihuahua. Scout is crate trained and sleeps in his crate quietly. If he needs a time out, the crate helps him relax and rest. While he is working on basic commands, Scout would benefit from additional training to help him with his boundaries, manners and leash skills. Scout is house trained, but it's best to take him right outside after spending time in his crate. Scout would do best in a home with adults as well as a fenced in yard. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
