About Lulu

Adoption Fee: $400
German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi, I am Lulu! link to video: https://youtu.be/FEul6a-Yhzc I am a 2 year old, 64 pound Shepherd and Carolina mix girl in search for my forever home. I am also a tripod - I lost a rear leg prior to coming into rescue, but that doesn't slow me down one bit. In fact, I am still the fastest and most agile dog in my foster home! This is no lie! When I fly past you at the park, you'll see! I walk on leash, am very well crate- and house-trained, love to go for car rides (I can easily jump into the highest of vehicles) and I am very social with other dogs! I am an easy part of the pack. I can get possessive of my toys, bones and sometimes food so I just need someone to feed separately. I get too excited around cats or pigs, so I am best in a home only with other playful dogs. My favorite thing in the world is to play fetch. In fact, if you watch my adoption video, you will see just how agile and fast I am and how much I love fetch. I love to carry my Kong toy with me everywhere - even to the vet clinic! I pretty much live to play. If you are considering me, you should research my breed a bit - we are high-energy dogs that are very motivated to play, and we need to play every day. So, if you are an active person who wants to take me on runs and hikes, and play fetch with me daily, we could be the perfect match! I do need exercise and I would love to have a yard. Please do watch my adoption video and contact my adoption coordinator if you think we might be right for each other! I look forward to a lifetime of fun and adventure with you! This sweet, sassy, one of a kind tripod Shepherd/Carolina mix is already spayed, up to date on vaccines, deworming and ready for a new home. Missing one leg does not slow her down and anyone would be so lucky to bring her home. The reason we are looking for a home with no small children or small animals is because LuLu has high drive, and when she goes for her toys it can sometimes be rough in a moment of excitement. We do not want anyone or anything to be hurt by accident while she is diving excitedly for her Kong. She can get overly excited and can be pushy and need direction. Not an abnormal behavior for many breeds, just needs direction. She needs a dog savvy adopter who will embrace her activity level and bring her along for adventures! Adoption video - https://youtu.be/FEul6a-Yhzc Lulu is fully vetted and the vet says she looks absolutely terrific!!
