About Clinton (west)

Hi, my name is CLINTON - ID#A4432807. I am a neutered male, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 4 months old, and I have been at the shelter since Jul 21, 2020. Clinton is dog tolerant and very timid, but warms up with familiar people. Older children are recommended. He's a total love, a big playful baby, and lots of fun to spend time with. Here are some recent notes about Clinton from shelter staff: 8/3/2020 OBSERVATION At front of kennel when handler approached; easy to leash, walked to yard without issue; explored yard, affiliative with handler; playful, jumped to solicit attention, leaned into petting; came when called; easy return to kennel - removing from new hope portal, removing behavior modification status; dog no longer requires behavior intervention at this time. 8/20/2020 OBSERVATION Hesitant but allowed leash placement; walked to yard; explored; timid, unsure of handler - tail tucked, head lowered; would not come when called; slowly approached for treats - took them gently; tolerated brief petting, then exited; easy return. 10/7/2020 WALK Clinton was very easy to leash and easy to walk out of the kennel. He saw another dog while walking on the trail and got a little excited but didn't pull hard to get to that dog. He knows how to sit for treats and takes them gently.
