About Ace

FOSTER EMERGENCY. Animal friends out there, please consider being Ace's foster. His current emotional state is so sad. Poor Ace is such a love and has had a terrible life. Through it all he can still smile which shows how amazing he is. Please read about his needs below. Background: Ace has been with the shelter since June 2020. His owner couldn't keep him as they were homeless. Ace had a sketchy life and was traumatized when police did a drug raid in his prior home. When he arrived at the shelter, Ace was thin, had ear & skin infections, and was trembling with fear. Now he is healthy and ready for a calm and loving home, something he never had. The truth is, Ace is a warm and loveable boy, easy to please, and a boy who will brighten you day! Please read his story to see if you can help this ACE of a dog! Ace is a 5-year old, 54-pound mixed breed (Staffie and hound perhaps but super, special, smiley mutt no doubt!) male located in Dover, NH. He is available for FOSTER or ADOPTION. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. Though he's always smiling, Ace experienced a difficult life and has been waiting in a shelter for many months. Ace just wants a forever home where he's your one and only. He needs someone willing to give him the life he deserves along with a little help to be a Super Ace! If you enjoy the outdoors and keeping in shape, Ace would be a great match for you. He's very active, loves exercise, and is always ready to go! He'd be a great running or hiking partner after a little help with his dog reactivity. A trainer is working with him now, but Ace's adopter will be given tips on how to work with this fun-loving dog with just the right amount of goofiness. Ace loves playing with toys, but his favorite game is fetch. He also enjoys a game he calls 'try to catch me!' Ace would be great for agility training, too. After he's worn out from playing, he will come to you for belly rubs and calming pats and rubs. He is an absolute love. Ace's ideal family is with committed active adults. Children should be 14 or older. He will be the only pet in the home. His ideal house is a single family with fenced yard. Ace is not suited to live in an apartment/ condo complex.
