TEXT ONLY. CONTACT PERSON IS DEAF. Piston is best with easygoing personalities, and will become aggressive with anyone who are naturally aggressive (usually male). He is generally OK with children who are easygoing, males included. He does show typical chihuahua traits of 'small dog energy' by trying to dominate other dogs despite his size. He is thin, we think he is 11 or 12 years old and we have him on a high protein diet. He has a velcro personality, and we have found that putting him in his crate is the only way he will eat. Otherwise he will willingly go without in order to stay with his chosen human. He has snapped and nipped my youngest (hyperactive son) before. We have had him for close to two years and he shows no signs of changing, so we have decided it's best for him to go to a better, less stressful environment. He's started losing hair, poor thing! I do love him, though. He just cannot let go of his past and learn to trust my husband and youngest son. What we do know: Our friend's brother actually found him at the town dump four years ago, nearly dead. So someone abandoned him. So he's going to need some serious loving to get over his issues. For his sanity (and yours) - either women, or a male with a very easygoing personality. And either no young children, or older, easygoing children/teens. No aggressive, loud personalities. He has some kind of blood pressure issues, I've seen him get so stressed he looked like he was having some kind of seizure but it passed a few times. Something related to doggy PTSD? I'm not sure. The first time that happened, I stepped backwards and accidentally stepped on a paw. Any questions, feel free to text me! I'll answer when I can.
