He loves people! He's friendly to everyone he meets, including children, he's been introduced to kids ages 3 and 6. He can get excited when meeting new people, and pulls on the leash occasionally, so he could use some basic leash training, but he's catching on fast already (smart boy). He loves to be with his people, but he settles down and snoozes in his crate when you leave him alone at home. He's an active pup who would love to go on walks, hikes, or runs with you, but he's also fine with being a couch potato when he's inside. Montana also rides great in the car, he's definitely a perfect candidate if you're looking for an adventure buddy. He's very smart, and knows a variety of fun tricks! His 'play dead' is my absolute favorite. This boy will work for treats, so training should be very easy to accomplish. (Did I mention he's smart?) He is dog friendly; currently he is living with 3 large breed dogs in his foster home, and has lived with a small Chihuahua in his previous home. Montana can easily jump 4-5ft fences if left unattended, so he will need a secure containment area and his new home MUST have a 6' fence. He also cannot live with cats! He does have a high prey drive, and wants to chase them. Other than that, this boy is a dream! Commands he knows: Sit Shake Stay Come Lay down Play dead Potty trained Crate trained - Go into crate = 'load up' If you're looking for a lifelong, beautiful companion, Montana is your guy.
