About Charlie

Charlie is a 10-yr old, 13 lb Pekingese/Pomeranian. His previous owner heartlessly abandoned him at a park wearing only a flea collar. He was found early in the morning by a good samaritan who brought him home and called Animal Control to pick him up. It was clear that Charlie had not been properly cared for as he was flea infested, underweight and missing hair on his back and ears from flea-related dermatitis. We rescued Charlie from the shelter and brought him to our vet for a full evaluation including a blood panel and urinalysis and he was found to be in good health with the exception of a heart murmur. Charlie was evaluated by a cardiologist and has heart disease requiring daily medication. He currently has no symptoms. Charlie had a dental cleaning and is up-to-date on vaccines. He is an extremely sweet, gentle boy who loves everyone he meets. Charlie LOVES other dogs, going on long walks and meeting new friends. Charlie now has a gorgeous red, shiny coat and he doesn't shed! He is well mannered and completely house trained. We would love for Charlie to have another doggy companion to hang out with.
